Now for a Little HistoryKnueve & Sons began in 1970 as a one-man shop. Frank Knueve worked out of back of family station wagon doing bathroom remodels, heating and plumbing service calls. In those days he did business as Frank’s Repair. In the mid seventies the sons started joining company (in the ditch). The name was changed to Frank Knueve & Sons. We were told; “Get in the ditch, you son’s of a plumber, you’re in the business now!” We took on the Lennox line in the seventies when they came out with the Pulse Gas Furnace. We also had the General Electric line which was purchased by American Standard and the brand was changed to Trane. They are known for the Climatuf compressor, a leader in the air conditioning field.
In the 90’s the company was incorporated as Knueve & Sons, Inc. and management was turned over to the sons. Frank, (dad), passed unexpectedly in 1999 but the boys have continued to run the company the way Frank would have wanted.
In 2006 we purchased Rick's Heating & Air in Paulding when Rick Elston retired. This location allows us to better service Paulding and Defiance Counties. Currently we number 35 employees and we have 5 basic areas that our field personnel specialize in: HVAC Sales, Installation and Service:

We
continued to grow and expand our service area beyond Putnam County through
the 80’s. One by one the sons, Dan, Ron, Joe, Greg, Ed and Mike started to become involved
in running the different segments of the company each was involved with.
In
2000 we opened a branch office, and showroom in Findlay,
Ohio.
