What do you get when you cross a Heat Pump with a Gas Furnace? Dual Fuel!

Save Money

Dual-fuel is an excellent money-saving option for home comfort. It is a method that uses a heat pump to heat and cool your home. In this system, the heat pump acts has a high-efficiency central air conditioner during hot summer months. In mild spring and fall temperatures, the heat pump pulls heat from the outside air to heat your house for much less than it would cost to fire up your furnace. During winter months, when the temperature drop is too drastic for the heat pump to effectively heat your home, it automatically shuts off and tells your furnace to take over.

Save Energy

Heat pumps save energy because they transfer heat instead of creating it. Heat pumps can be up to 300 percent efficient, meaning they provide 300 percent more energy than they consume; whereas, a high-efficiency gas furnace is usually around 90 percent efficient. Because heat pumps are so efficient, they can pay for themselves in as little as five years.
Dual Fuel Installation

Knueve & Sons can install a heat pump that will work with your existing gas or oil furnace for the best possible efficiency, comfort and reliability. We set the system up to maximize savings and comfort, and then your TRANE® or LENNOX® heat pump takes care of the rest.

Note: For safety and warranty reasons you should never attempt to service your unit yourself.
